Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
